BUYNG a property?

  • First and foremost, how will you be purchasing your new home? Cash, loan or.....? 
  • If you need a loan? (Speak to your Realtor® for reputable lenders their past customers have used and liked.)
  • Speak to a Realtor ® about what you're looking for in your next home. (If moving from your current area, you should contact a local Realtor ® for a referral to an agent in the new area your moving to. This usually helps save a lot of time and frustration. )
  • Attend open houses in the area you would like to live. (Make a note of the surroundings. Would you be comfortable there? )
  • Stop at a local grocery store, restaurant, etc. to get a better feel for the area.
  • Look up information on local schools.
  • Explore roads, or methods of transportation, to get you in and out of the area.
  • ALWAYS check the county, or local police crime reports (how safe is the area your considering?)
  • Ready to make an offer? A Realtor ® is the best tool for this. They can provide you comparable homes to start your offer out on the right route. 
  • Make an offer,negotiate, and sign the contract!

  •  What is your reason for selling? (Make sure you have thought about it long and hard. After all, it's a BIG decision! ).

  • Prepare to be accommodating for all showing request. One turn down could cost you a sale!
  • Do you need a loan for your next purchase? Start calling lenders. (Your agent will have a list if you prefer)
  • In most cases, you will need to have a contract on your home before you can make a serious offer on a home you want to buy. 
  • Start getting ready for your move (packing-save boxes, newspaper, etc., calling movers)
